Manchester United get their Champions League campaign underway against Swiss champions Young Boys tonight.
Jose Mourinho’s side crashed out of the competition at the round-of-16 stage last season, and will be looking to restore their reputation in the competition this campaign.
United will be playing on an artificial pitch in Switzerland, but boss Mourinho does not see that a reason to doubt his side.
“I don’t want to use it as a possible excuse for a poor performance,” he said ahead of the game.
United go into the fixture on the back of their first back-to-back wins of the season, with Romelu Lukakuhaving scored five goals in his last six games for club and country.
The Reds’ no.9 scored a hat-trick on his last visit to the Stade de Suisse in a Europa League game for Everton in 2014.
